Before joining Dentons LuatViet, Nguyen Duc Anh worked with several top-tier law and consulting firms and served as an in-house counsel at a multinational energy company. During his study in Belgium, he worked at the Vietnam Trade Office in Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union.

During his in-house career, he conducted investigations and vendor compliance reviews for asset disposal exercises, competition-related advice, and M&A filings for transaction compliance.

In his in-house and law firm experiences, he has conducted transactional and compliance due diligence; he has set out a work plan for due diligence with methodologies, timelines, and deliverables of the entire due diligence phase. His workflow commenced with the preparation of the required information checklist, investigation of the provided documents and information, preparing fact-finding interview questionnaires, interviewing target staff for any missing documents in the aspect of incompliance, and uncovering any hidden issues of the target that may jeopardize the transaction, and compiling result of documents review and interview as a concise report.

In addition to law practices, Nguyen Duc Anh brings to the firm experiences in Governmental Affairs when he engaged in specific advocacy projects relating to the multi-level marketing industry and E-commerce. He has hands-on experience in governmental affairs, developing and forwarding strategies for governmental consultation and advising public policies. This allows him to build an in-depth understanding of the political system and governmental practice in Vietnam.
